Vascular and Endovascular Surgery is a specialized area of surgery that focuses on the treatment of disorders affecting the vascular system, which includes arteries, veins, and lymphatic vessels.

Radiofrequency for varicose veins is the gold standard to eliminated the origin of reflux and varicose disease. This procedure is done on an outpatient basis, no hospitalization is needed. This is considerated a low-risk procedure with a rate of success of 99%. There´s no need of skin incisions and the recovery after the procedure is amazing (only 2 days before starting daily activities).

The Sclerotherapy is a procedure done in an office targeted to patients with aesthetic issues such as spider veins or reticular veins. Every session includes 1 to 3 vials of sclerotherapy agent. The foam technique is the most used (Tessari technique) since there´s no need to take blood samples and the return to daily activities is on the same day, this procedure is one of the most demanded.

The Post Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS) appears after a Deep vein Thrombosis (DVT) with symptoms like swelling, varicose veins, heaviness, discomfort, even an ulcer in the leg. For those patients the treatment with anticoagulants or compression socks is not enough. These type of patients need an angioplasty and stenting of the affected vein. This procedure is minimally invasive with only one day of hospitalization. The majority of patients recover their activities in 3 or 4 days.

The diabetic foot is a complication stage of the diabetes, the majority of patients with the presence of an ulcer with no improvement in 2 weeks, are at risk for the extent of the disease until reaching a critical ischaemia. Therefore these type of patients need a revascularization of their foot through an arterial angioplasty for diminishing the risk of amputation. Days of hospitalization depends on each patient condition. Usually those procedures have a full team of specialists on the patient´s care.
